Campfire is located in Hotel Saranac, where we stayed for 2 nights. We tried drinks, dinner and breakfast here and absolutely loved it! The interiors are fresh and clean. The food itself was 4 stars, adding another star for the fantastic service. Evening cocktails/dinner: We were served by Julissa, she’s such a positive person and her recommendations were spot on. Julissa was enthusiastic, passionate about her job and served with a smile. We really enjoyed our experience. For drinks - hot Sara was our favorite 5/5. Others were good, but not sweet enough for us. Dinner: 1. Chips and Dip - 5/5 - chips were crispy and dip was creamy and delicious. We ordered this on both days. 2. Vegan Korean BBQ Burger - 5/5 - the Asian flavored sauce made the beyond burger savory and delicious 3. Vegetarian Forest Mushroom Risotto- 4/5 - was creamy and had the right amount of cheese. Was delicious! 4. Side of corn bread - 5/5 - soft, flavorful and absolutely stunning! Overall dinner experience was fantastic and would highly recommend Campfire for dinner. Moving on to breakfast: Melissa was our server and she was warm and professional. We got: 1. avacado toast - it was ok - 4/5. Bread was crispy and was nice 2. Egg breakfast sandwich- 3/5 - husband thought it was ok 3. Latte - 5/5 - although they did not have 2% milk, latte was delicious! 4. Side of fruits - was good, fresh. Overall decent breakfast experience, definitely stop by coffee if you are looking for options in the area.

We’ve eaten here a number of times but tonight was exceptional. I had the two specials a tomato burrata salad and a crusted trout. Both were excellent like Michelin star level good. Disappointed to hear the chef was leaving. Would love to hear where they will be next. Hopefully they can find someone as good for next time.

Service was excellent. They made sure you were attended to while busy. The great hall upstairs is awesome.

Cute little restaurant that is inside a hotel. It is located on a quaint little road and across from a public library so you feel like you are in a Hallmark Movie. We chose this place because it came up in a search for Gluten Free food that was close to Lake Placid. The Butternut squash soup was delicious, I was pleased they had Gluten Free bread to dip in it and the salad was so yummy with the housemade dressing and figs and pears! Very filling. My boyfriend got the burger and said it was really delicious. I liked how they even branded the bun with their logo. Only thing was that it was cold in there so I took off one star for that on atmosphere (I think the AC was on and it was a cooler fall day) so bring a jacket. I did hear other patrons commenting on how cold it was in there and our coffee got cool quickly too. We liked how the coffee mugs were the true adirondack vibe too. The waiter was friendly and very prompt. A good stop and we will be back soon!

Delicious entrees which clearly reflect on a highly trained culinary team present in the kitchen. Meal started with complimentary corn bread with lightly sweetened butter which was a great opener to our feast. I've selected the Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup made from locally picked mushrooms. The soup was well balanced with sage seasoning with no overly heavy texture of cream served with Sourdough croutons. I had a Harvest Salad as a main course which was a definitely superfood loaded with antioxidants. My other family members had Squash ravioli and the Hunters Chicken. Both well prepared. Thank you! Merci!

Fantastic atmosphere, warm mannered staff, and delicious food. I highly recommend getting either the French toast or pancakes with their in home made maple whipped butter. You won’t be disappointed. The Benedict would have been perfect if the hollendaise sauce had more flavor. The ham on the Benedict was fresh and flavorful. I would also recommend the home fries. They were perfectly crunchy with the accurate amount of seasoning.

Stopped for breakfast, and the atmosphere was really mellow. Very enjoyable. Felt very relaxed. Our server (Cheyenne?) was amazing. She explained everything and asked if we were doing well. She informed us of the breakfast buffet ending. Overall, she made the experience here wonderful. Having dedicated staff who care for their guests is rare! She made this place 5 stars and an A.

One of the few places open Christmas morning with a staff so friendly that you wouldn't know they had to work on Christmas. We were greeted by a genuinely smiling, young man who wished a cheery Merry Christmas, as did every staff member who happened to pass out table. We absolutely LOVED our server who had such a sunny disposition, that it was infectious. In town to hide away from the stress of the holidays, this place offering Christmas Brunch was the highlight of our three day trip, AND the best meal we had, hands down! The lemon blueberry pancakes with candied lemons slices and homemade whipped cream were to die for, and the French Toast stuffed with cranberries and cheesecake was delish. The flavor combinations and creative flare their menu offers will leave no one disappointed. The portions were huge, leaving plenty to snack on back at our hotel, and we splurged on dessert because well, it was Christmas and why not? Well worth it. Peanut Butter Brownie skillet with vanilla ice cream was perfect for sharing. It came out in a mini square skillet hot and fresh with delicious French Vanilla ice cream and more of their fantastic whipped cream. We took the cashew carrot cake back to the hotel, as it was super filling and slightly heavy, but that's because most of their desserts are gf, so if you have gluten issues and want great dessert, don't skip this place! We stopped back for lunch before heading home to enjoy another great meal by another friendly server. We had the fried chicken sandwich, the burger, and split the ADK Poutine. The poutine could use a little more gravy but we enjoyed it nonetheless. I loved the fried chicken sandwich, which I ordered without the spicy aioli, and the burger was juicy and delicious, even if slightly more well done than the med-rare we ordered, also ordered without the spicy aioli. Both dishes came with a generous helping of fries. Two completely different meals, and both were very good. Highly recommend!
